Why should I choose T. Ham over the other sign companies?
Our company is committed to having the utmost integrity of any sign company in Southern Illinois. We understand you have other sign companies to choose from & we have to earn your business. We have obtained our customer orientated reputation through hard work & honesty.

The quality of our signage is apparent when compared with our competitors. Ask us for references & we can provide you a list of customers that will speak on our behalf. Once a customer’s job is out the door, we do not forget about them. We provide the best service available in Southern Illinois. If your sign has a warranty issue or just needs serviced in the future, we are committed to keeping your business with us. We find that most of our first time customers become regular customers with us.

What are your lead times?
T. Ham Sign’s lead times are different for every job. This timeframe varies due to the approval of boards, agencies, & municipalities outside of our control. Difficulty of the particular job also can affect timelines. We will not commit to a timeline that we are uncertain about. We will meet the completion date promised by our sales representative.

What are your payment terms?
Once a sales contract has been signed. T. Ham Sign requires at least one third down payment before the project can begin. Balance of the project is due upon completion. Other arrangements can be made if needed. T. Ham is willing to work with you in most cases.

How long is your warranty policy?
T. Ham Sign will warranty our signage for one year with lamps, ballast, transformers & labor.

Do I need a sign permit?
Every municipality has different sign ordinances. T. Ham will gladly provide the service of obtaining sign permits for you. Our sales staff will travel, attend council meeting & get all necessary permits required by your city or state.

If your sign requires a special variance, we can take care of all paperwork & attend variance meetings. All this will be done for a minimal fee.

How far Will T. Ham Sign go?
Our service area is usually a 100 mile radius of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Our crews have traveled beyond this distance for our customers.

How long to lamps last?
Fluorescent lamps usually last around two years. We use high quality Sylvania & GE lamps.
It is hard to put an exact timeline on your lamp life because of such factors as high winds, power surges, acts of God or various usage by the customer.

What type of computer files can I send to T. Ham for my sign?
We prefer vectored artwork such as pdf, eps, or a tif file.

Do you lease billboards?
Yes, we do lease billboards. We have several in the local area & are expanding all the time.

Will an electronic message center increase my sales?
Take the Small Business Administration’s word. The SBA cites LED signs as the most effective, yet least expensive form of advertising for the small business. In a typical American town, message centers cost $300-$600 per month – compared to about $1000 in the phone directory.

What’s even more valuable than that? Potential customers seeing the message on your sign are right there in the vicinity for a sale. Think about it. A special on eggs is a lot more appealing to the person across the street than the person across town. And you don’t have to pay to run a whole new print ad just to tell people about it.

Todd Ham started fabricating & painting signs in 1986. In 1993, he started his own company & today has projects all over Southern Illinois.
